Hello fitness my old friend.

Since the age of sixteen I have visited the gym more than 3,500 times. That being a rough calculation, of course.
Back then as a skinny teen, I would have only gone maybe two or three times, tops, per week. Now as I draw closer to the end of my thirties, I can barely go a day without. If I miss a session I get that feeling like when you have lost a wallet or keys, something important is missing.
Time spent under the bar has been what has given my life stability, balance, peace, and character. I am grateful for having a meaningful connection with fitness.
So, what about you, what is stopping you today from becoming the fitness fanatic you have always had the desire to be?
Ask yourself: why do I want this and what exactly do I want? Do I want to look like people I see on social media? Is this happening to better my health or my status? What objectively do I gain from setting fitness goals?
For me, I have found the reward for being consistent in the gym trickles into most other areas of my life. Going into the gym makes me want to eat healthier food so that I can recover properly. When I eat healthier food, I feel better. When I feel better I am more likely to give the people around me the best of myself. When the people around me receive the time and attention they deserve, they feel wanted and appreciated. They go out into the world and pass those good vibes on. The positive spiral continues...
Fitness is such an anchor for all of us. It will typically give us the positive feedback we are looking for, if you do it properly. Going into a workout with no plan or structure will not yield the positive results you're searching for. So, here is my advice to you: Create a plan. Execute the plan. Monitor the plan. Review the plan.... Then go again.
